TELECINE SCREEN - The process we use for all Telecine procedures as follows

We now use a professional 'Transvideo' process for transferring our
cine films.
We do not copy from a projector.
These machines are equipped with high-quality 'CCD' imaging technology,
allowing us to produce a top quality transfer from the original cine
film footage.
FILM CHECK
The first step that we take is to examine your films on a film rewind bench, this allows us to remake any existing splices that have come undone and remove any sections that you may not want, for example any totally black or clear sections. This means a transfer with no picture 'judder' or blank screen to interrupt your viewing. Films arriving with us that are backwards on the reel will be correctly wound ready for transfer and we will splice new film leaders onto the front of your films if required - included within the price.
FILM CLEANING
Over time, static attracts dust. Projection can also cause dirt and scratches to appear on the film image as black spots and vertical black or colour ed lines. Our liquid cleaning process eliminates most of the surface dust and will reduce the thickness of some black scratches by cleaning out the dirt within the scratch. The result is a clearer and cleaner picture during transfer and this is also included within our prices.
DIRECT TRANSFER - We always transfer straight to the video or tape format you require and electronically correct colour and contrast (see below). Why compromise the film quality by going via tape or a computer.
COLOUR CONTRAST AND BRIGHTNESS CORRECTION -
We can adjust the colour contrast or brightness of your films to improve the picture quality on transfer to tape or disk.
FUTURE CARE OF YOUR FILMS
Once we have transferred your films they are placed back on their original reels/boxes in new sealed plastic bags with Silica gel to keep moisture out. This will provide protection from the elements and keep your films for future generations. We also recommend that when you receive your films that you store the reels vertically in a room at constant room temperature. Even though you will have a high quality DVD or digital tape copy, our advice is to always keep your films safe and never throw them away.
